An Introduction to Trent Rommel

A few months back I came across an amazing webcomic by the name of Wodir.

Wodir follows the nomad pictured above as he travels through a “strange medieval world.” Written, illustrated, and lettered by Trent Rommel, Wodir jumps of the screen. It’s full of life, creates a sense of eerie dread, and packs a punch. When I saw it I knew I wanted to work with Trent.

I reached out to Trent almost immediately after reading Wodir (a new page is released every Thursday right here) and he and I got to talking. Long story short, Trent will be taking over for Martin Nihlén and continuing Earl Lannis and Lady Gideon’s storyline.

If you’ve been a follower of Ennead since the beginning you know that initially I’d intended on releasing companion series featuring “side quests” as a means of exploring the far reaches of Amashik. While I wouldn’t count out the occasional one shot, that original idea has been scraped. Lannis, Gideon, Dofo’li and the others in their stories will continue to be featured but each will now play a much bigger role in the story’s “endgame.” I won’t try and predict the future, but suffice it to say that these characters aren’t going anywhere.

Trent has already completed a rough draft of the book. I want to share the first few pages with you all today. Let me know in the comments below what you think!
