I’ll admit, I’m certainly biased.
Though I still stand by the idea that this is the golden age of fantasy. Across all mediums- everything from television and the Game of Thrones Universe along with Rings of Power, to video games with open world behemoths like Dark Souls or Elden Ring- fantasy is dominating pop culture. Sure, you’ve got prolific writers like Brandon Sanderson and Stephen King continuing the great tradition the genre has in epic storytelling via its most tradition route (the novel), but fantasy is certainly spreading its wings.
I am proud to be a part of that zeitgeist. Ennead sits among a bevy of fantasy comics like Green Knight, Birthright, and Nottingham that are daring to tell big stories one panel at a time. But like so many of its cross-medium contemporaries, Ennead cannot be contained to just one vehicle of storytelling. Hence, the creation of this Substack.
Let me tell you what I’ve got in store for 2023…
First up, I’ll be launching a Kickstarter project this upcoming January featuring these bad boys plus a secret reward:
Inahtuu’s ya’rosa is a key piece of who he is as a character. It takes patience and skill to wield this weapon and its reserved for the best of the best ro’kitas.
And no, the secret reward is NOT a figurine.
Those come out later in 2023…
The first official Ennead Worldbook is currently in the works. I’ve been participating in NaNoWriMo this year and am making great progress in telling the fictional history of Amashik. Take a look for yourself:
Books 8, 9, and 10 will be released as one complete graphic novella (58 pages) and will be fully colored BEFORE the book hits Kickstarter.
Next year I’ll begin serializing Ennead’s first novel right here on Substack with the eventual plan of self-publishing the complete project. I’ll likely release a chapter or two at a time here when the time comes. Subscribe to make sure you don’t miss out!
The novel will follow three new characters, one of which you’ve already met. Make sure you stay tuned to hear more about all of these projects!

I agree that the time of fantasy has risen again! Which is definitely a delight for me as a genre that is definitely in my top 3- Happy to see that you are not settling down and eager to expend Amashik's world in different ways :D
Weapon 3D model looking good ;P
Very excited by your upcoming projects and still love how many different art style represent parts of your world!
