As a reader enthralled in the world of Amashik this pains me. Having talks with guys like you and Rent entrusting me in the makings of your worlds you created meant a ton. Either way, however you choose to circle the medium I’m readin.
Appreciate you for always being welcoming and interested in my work. Don’t worry, the story will get the ending it deserves and I will DEFINITELY come chop it up with you once it’s all said and done. 🤟🏾
I understand how you're feeling. It's been about 2.5 years since I stopped attempting the comic work. It was a combination of things, but after creating a short (writing and art), I realized how much work it was and that the juice wasn't worth the squeeze. I am starting to come back to the art a little, though, but it won't be comics.
Happy to hear you'll stick with the writing. I look forward to reading more.
“The juice isn’t worth the squeeze” sums my feelings up perfectly. I definitely plan on continuing to write (1st draft on the prompt quest is almost complete 😉) but the comic art is just so expensive and time intensive that I can’t do it unless it’s making money.
That said, I can write prose here and slowly build an audience at little to no cost. Thanks for chiming in! Appreciate your words.
I appreciate you. Don’t worry. I promise I’ll leave you with a cohesive, complete, and satisfying ending to the tale I’ve woven thus far. I just have no desire to get bogged down in the indie comics space and it’s various popularity contests.
Once The Rule of Nine is complete, it’ll stand at 9 issues (4 of which you technically have in that now de-canonized Volume) and 3 one shots (which you also have the opening scenes of- all the art not done by Luke Horsman). Totaling over 300 pages of comics.
I’ll still be here on Substack, I’ll just be busy writing prose instead of managing comic Kickstarters. Once the story is complete I’ll seek out a traditional publishing deal and let someone who cares to distribute such a project do so. More on that part in time 🤟🏾
While I wish you were continuing the story in comic form after the current story, I totally get your decision, and look forward to reading the entire comic tale and your fiction!
I appreciate you and your consistent support for Ennead. I'll be happy to know the completed, "new canon" version of the story will have a place on your shelf.
P.S.- Your new comic looks like it's going to be awesome!
Goddamnit

Looking forward to adding the complete Rule of 9 to my bookshelf one day. We're what, about halfway through?
Yes sir! With lots of pages complete and just awaiting a release schedule.
Hell yeah bru!
Sad to see you go. I'm glad I bought a black and white trade when I had the chance at a convention.
